Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to a quick overview of SOME important questions asked when planning a celebration with S.P.C.

What are your fees?
After having a no-obligation initial conversation about whether I'm available, I need to learn what you're seeking and who & what all is involved. A standard elopement with 2 witnesses is $350 while adding a bridal party with dress rehearsal the day before or several eulogies plus rituals will be more as more time and conversations are involved. Let's talk soon!

Do you perform
non-religious ceremonies?
As a certified contemporary minister, I meet all clients where they are at with their spirituality and beliefs. I simply ask that LOVE be our common ground in any ceremony I create. One thing I must make clear is I will not be able to just "sign the papers" as a marriage license is a legal document. It will be filed promptly, correctly, and I can get you married in less than fifteen minutes!

How do I book with you?
After an initial meeting over the phone, online, or in-person where your vision is shared, my fee is agreed upon. Within the week, a contract is signed and a retainer must be sent. Receiving an invoice means your day(s) are officially in the books and the process can begin! Another value added is I have chosen to book only one ceremony a day so
I am 100% at your service!

We love the idea of
personalizing our ceremony...but HOW?
From our first meeting, let me start by asking a few important, specifically designed questions about what makes one unique. Once that is established, there are always ideas suggested, actions that could be taken, certain words shared...maybe music. Stories and memories always evoke the overall experience & feelings you want to ultimately have at any ceremony.

Do you travel to services?
I certainly DO travel, have driven or flown to various provinces, and can officiate weddings in AB & many provinces. Note that couples often choose to get married locally before leaving the country for legal ease. If driving more than 20 min. outside Grande Prairie city limits, there will be a standard CRA mileage rate added.
My passport is always ready!

What is a
®Life-Cycle Celebrant?
I have completed lengthy, comprehensive certification requirements to become a professional Wedding Celebrant and act as a Funeral Celebrant. Also, I customize ceremonies that commemorate any and all milestones important to YOU in your lifetime, from its initial idea to the follow-up after. Flexibility and being open to ideas are the necessary keys!
